Christina hails from the Finger Lakes wine region of upstate New York, although she lived abroad in Britain and Australia for 13 years. In mid-2015, after the birth of her first child, Christina made a move back to her home country. She currently resides in the mid-Hudson Valley, a beautiful mountainous region 90 miles north of New York City.

Like most wine biz folk, Christina’s journey into the industry was a rather roundabout one.

In 2006, while treading the boards as an actress and singer in London, she stumbled upon a day job at the London wine attraction, Vinopolis. Pouring hundreds of wines and giving hundreds of talks and tours, Christina’s love of wine was nurtured beyond knocking back a glass or two in the pub.  She gained certifications in the intermediate and advanced level Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) (merit and distinction) and, combining her acting skills and wine knowledge, went on to become a semi-regular presenter for over two years on the BBC Good Food Channel’s flagship show Market Kitchen. There she presented alongside chefs like Matt Tebbutt, Richard Corrigan, James Martin, and Simon Rimmer.

This led to more invitations for on-screen wine presenting work, including on-site educational videos for the Port Institute in Portugal, for Wine Republic TV’s Wine Guide, and alongside chef Valentine Warner for Discover the Origin’s online videos. Off-screen Christina discovered the pleasures of live presenting and spent over three years hosting educational wine tastings at food and drink festivals, wine bars, and corporate wine events around the UK for both consumers and the trade.

For over two years, Christina co-hosted the popular podcast, The Crush.

Much of her time these days is devoted to scribbling, a lost-and-then-found-again passion. On the writing side of things, Christina has contributed to UK publications including Decanter, World Travel GuideHarpers Wine & Spirit, The Drinks BusinessImbibe, and to the news desk at Decanter.com.

After over a decade in its embrace, Christina left London in January 2013 for adventures in sunnier lands. She spent two and a half years in Perth, Western Australia where she contributed to publications including Australia’s Gourmet Traveller Wine and James Halliday’s Wine Companion. For over two years Christina wrote the wine content for Western Australia’s main lifestyle glossy, Scoop Magazine.

While in Australia Christina founded and ran (and subsequently sold) the School of Wine, where she hosted masterclasses and tastings around Perth’s top restaurants and bars as well as corporate and private wine events.

A long time champion of natural/artisan wine producers, Christina has been a part of the team for the hugely exciting and successful Real Wine Fair in London since its inception in 2012, helping create the fair’s original website and heading up its social media. She continues this work from afar.

Stateside, Christina’s articles have appeared in U.S. publications Food & WineWine Enthusiast, and Afar travel magazine.

In June 2017, Christina was appointed Contributing Editor at Wine Enthusiast Magazine. She primarily covers and reviews wines from Australia and New Zealand for the publication.
